CARE AND CLEANING OF WOODEN FURNITURE

Do not clean with a water or solvent based cleaner. Use vacuuming or light brushing only.

Do not expose to sunlight. Please use soft rags or feather dusters to clean the furniture.

In case of spillage of liquid substance on the surface, dry immediately to avoid stains.

Please use coasters and/or a tablecloth before putting the plate or cup on the table to avoid stains and marks on the surface.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF WOOD
Wood is a natural material. It is important to understand its properties, which should not be confused with defects.
- Knots and joint lines: these are natural characteristics of all real wood furniture, which can sometimes be seen through the painted surface. They add interest and do not affect performance.
- Expansion: all wood exhibits movement from season to season due to changes in temperature and humidity. This can sometimes make the movement of the crate a little stiff. To alleviate movement, simply rub a little candle wax on the drawer runners attached to the cabinet casing on both sides of the drawer.
- Levelling the cabinet: it is essential that the cabinet is placed on a level surface to ensure that the doors hang correctly and open smoothly.
- Sunlight and heat: avoid exposing the furniture to excessive heat, for example by placing it in front of a radiator, as this can cause cracking. A minimum distance of 30 cm from heat sources is recommended. Direct sunlight causes the colour of real wood to change, even if it is stained, painted or lacquered. This will be evident if the furniture is placed under a window. Never place hot plates directly on wooden or painted surfaces, we recommend the use of tablecloths. Prolonged use of hot electrical appliances, such as a television, on top of a piece of furniture can also cause burns. Dark rubber feet used on electrical and other equipment occasionally contain chemicals that can leave a permanent mark on furniture surfaces, so use them with caution.
