I just love a winter escape from Melbourne's grey cold weather and the six senses resort in Phuket provided an inspirational and idyllic spot! Located on a quiet island off the east coast of Thailand, the resort is surrounded by limestone island outcrops that make this area so unique.
The clever architects and interior designers responsible have designed a sympathetic resort that is inpired by the local villages. They have managed to seamlessly blend indoor/outdoor living that match the surrounds spectacularly !
The following image shows a sunken eating/drinking area that features vivid sunbrella cushions and are surrounded by lily ponds. The stunning use of this bright purple fabric is visually surprising and pleasing.
And we ate the best pad thai and green curries, relaxing against these delightful saffron colored cushions. Again surrounded by lily pad ponds.
