Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of questions frequently asked about our furniture. If your question is not answered then please email us at info@satara.com.au .
Is the furniture suitable for outdoors ?
Yes the furniture is suitable to leave outside and requires very little maintenance. We recommend that any of our furniture with cushions is kept outdoor undercover (eg under a verandah) where it is sheltered from the rain. Our cushions are water resistant but not suitable to leave out in the weather constantly. The majority of our daybeds are supplied with a protective outdoor cover. Cushions suitable to be left in the rain can be provided at additional cost.
How is the furniture constructed?
Our furniture is built to last. We use 1.8mm powder coated aluminium tubing for our frames which are high density welded for extra strength. The frames are then hand woven by our skilled weavers, with a synthetic weave which is made from the best protective UV coatings from BASF in Germany . These chemicals protect our synthetic weave from fading and cracking in Australia's harsh climate.

What Colours is your furniture available in ?
All furniture can be manufactured in 12 different colours. We aim to hold stocks of the most popular 4 or 5 colours. Other colours are available on order.
Can you customise sizes ?
Yes we can customise table sizes and modify any of our designs to your requirements
What table tops are available ?
All our tables are available with a weave top or a teak top. Glass can be placed on top of the weave if required.

What Maintenance is required ?
Woven aluminium frames can be simply hosed down if dusty or cleaned with a mild detergent and a sponge.
Some of the furniture has teak frames and tabletops. Teak is used extensively in outdoor furniture because of its weather resistant properties. If left untreated teak develops a grey weathered look which doesn't affect the quality of the timber. If you do not like this look the teak can be protected with a specific teak protector. We recommend this is applied once a year when the timber is dry.
